Today, the Clockwise team shared the news that they are embarking on a new journey, and that their product will shut down on March 27, 2026.
We want to acknowledge the fantastic work the Clockwise team has done over the past several years. Building products that meaningfully improve how people manage their time is incredibly hard. It requires deep technical innovation, thoughtful product design, and a relentless focus on users across a dizzying number of roles, work styles, and preferences.
The Clockwise team has excelled across all of those dimensions, building a product we’ve long admired. They’ve continually pushed us to build a better Reclaim for our customers. In many ways, we’d argue that our entire category of software wouldn’t have existed without them.
Clockwise helped introduce and advance the idea that time – arguably our most valuable resource – could be actively protected and optimized through intelligent software, and that the modern workweek didn’t have to suffer from so much toil and chaos. Although Clockwise was our closest competitor, we always shared the same mission.
The startup journey is always exhilarating, sometimes painful, and rarely linear. We know firsthand how much persistence and experimentation it takes to build something that hundreds of thousands of people rely on every day. The Clockwise team should be proud of the impact they’ve had on the future of work and the community they built.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been in conversations with Clockwise about how to support their users through this transition. They wanted to ensure their community had a trusted alternative that could continue helping people protect their time.
Clockwise – and its CEO and founder, Matt Martin – are recommending Reclaim.ai as the primary alternative for users who want to continue using an AI-powered calendar assistant.
We’re honored by that trust, and we’re committed to making the transition as smooth as possible.
Why Clockwise recommends Reclaim
Clockwise and Reclaim have always shared a similar mission: helping people spend more time on what matters.
Both products believe your calendar should do more than just store meetings; it should actively help manage your time. While the products take different approaches in some areas, there is significant overlap in what users rely on every day.
Below, we’ll highlight some of the most important areas of overlap and distinction – and if you want to go deeper, check out a longer guide here.
A focus on Focus
Like Clockwise, Reclaim uses AI to automatically schedule and protect focus time on your calendar, giving you and your team dynamic space during the week for heads-down work that adjusts in real time as your schedule changes.
Where our philosophies diverge comes down to intentionality and prioritization. Reclaim has always been built around the idea that focus requires smart tradeoffs – and a clear plan for what to do when deep work time arrives.
To that end, Reclaim allows you to define priorities and rules for your entire calendar – meetings, focus time, routines, tasks, breaks, and personal commitments – so that your assistant knows what’s most important to you and what can be sacrificed. It also uses intelligence to keep your calendar flexible and free when you’re not at risk of missing important deadlines, which means that you get a better balance between defended time for work and collaboration with your teammates.
This means that if you’re using Clockwise today to block out focus time, create space for routines like lunch, schedule meetings with teammates, or share your availability externally, you’ll find Reclaim’s feature set to be extremely familiar – and you may also notice some differences in how the assistant personalizes scheduling to your individual preferences.
Works where you already are
Both Clockwise and Reclaim were designed to integrate seamlessly into your existing Google or Outlook calendars. That means you can use Reclaim from our webapp, or interact directly with Reclaim-managed events on your calendar client of choice.
We also share critical integrations with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Slack. That means you can easily add videoconferencing to your meetings, as well as sync and customize your status from your calendar to Slack.
Where Reclaim goes further is in depth and breadth of integrations, especially those for task and project management platforms. Reclaim integrates with Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Todoist, Linear, and Google Tasks to automatically sync your tasks from those tools and block time for them on the calendar.
We also built extensibility into the platform to help integrate Reclaim into workflows and platforms that your teams rely on – for example, you can use webhooks on Reclaim Scheduling Links to automatically send meeting data information to your CRM of choice to keep track of critical customer conversations.
Built for teams & enterprise
Reclaim is the only Clockwise alternative that matches or exceeds its enterprise capabilities, security, and support.
Like Clockwise, Reclaim was built for teams, and can optimize schedules across the entire company. We share a world-class security posture, with SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, DPF, and CCPA compliance built in. And for IT teams looking to rapidly deploy Reclaim across their enterprise, we offer native SSO and SCIM integrations with Okta and OneLogin, as well as extensibility for any OIDC platform.
Reclaim goes even further on enterprise capabilities in a couple key areas. First, we offer deep, company-wide analytics and insights on where time is going complete with filterable data across roles, departments, locations, and more. Second, we offer templates for focus time, routines, working hours, and more – so that team leads can set standards for what they want teams to set up in Reclaim and recommend them easily to every user in their organization.
Migrating from Clockwise to Reclaim
Clockwise users will have two weeks to transition their accounts before the service shuts down on March 27th. We know transitions like this are never easy, and we’re here to help make the move to Reclaim as seamless as possible.

How to submit your migration request
Visit the Clockwise to Reclaim Migration page to submit your migration request and provide us with a bit of information about your team, company, and Clockwise account. We are reviewing submissions around the clock and will follow up quickly with next steps.
For smaller teams, we will verify your price match through the invoice you submit and respond with a discount code as well as resources for your team to help get them set up. You’ll be able to book time with our support team for a team onboarding, as well as attend one of our daily webinars in March to walk through Reclaim and answer any questions you may have.
For larger teams, we will get you connected with our customer success team to discuss your account setup, needs, and goals to help fast-track your migration plan. You’ll get dedicated live training and onboarding sessions for your team, as well as shared Slack channels to onboard your employees and answer questions.
Create your Reclaim account
You don’t need to submit a migration request or wait to hear from us to set up your Reclaim account. However, we strongly recommend reading this migration checklist before enabling Reclaim to avoid having two scheduling automations running on your calendar at the same time. You can sign up for Reclaim and invite your team here.
If your team requires SSO or SCIM support, please submit your migration request and we will work with you to get that set up for your teams.
